Robert Walker and the Century Band from Röthenbach a.d. Pegnitz, are introducing their debut album. After Robert Walker released his debut solo album, „One for the Road,“ in 2006 and his instrumental album, „Storyteller“ in 2010 it was time for him to take a new approach and join in with the Century Band.
The album „Songs from Rust and Gold“ demonstrates the musical diversity Robert Walker has encountered. The music has been influenced by musicians like Blackmore, Rory Gallagher, Steve Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Springsteen, just to name a few. You can certainly hear their influence but the sound of the band leaves no question as to their unique style.
Ballads, Blues and Rock alternate through the music, making boredom impossible for the listener. The band delivers the sound powerfully yet almost fragile. Robert Walker's guitar solos are impressive, his musical talent and guitar playing skill is deeply imbedded in the music. All of the band members have many years of exprience with cover or jazz bands.
Thomas Schieweck (Drums), Oliver Weidner (Bass / Background Vocals), Frank Ehrhardt (Guitar / Background Vocals), Benni Brand (Keys) und Alexandra Hacker (Background Vocals)
