Biography

I was born in Stuttgart and grew up in franconia. Being a child I started tapping drums, becoming the drummer of a band at the age of 13.
Due to the fact that the guitar players got all the female attention, I decided to learn playing the guitar by that time.
We did a small time at school events and youth centers, just as you do, being a young musician or band.

As the years passed by myself became older, bands changed and with them the music-style. Around the age of 22, I had to earn some money in order not to survive only by eating warmed up can-food during study.
So, besides studying music-lectorship and a few other academics, I gave guitar-lessons at private music-schools and in my parents' basement.
At that time I did gigs with several cover-rock bands, which is, by the way, a good opportunity for guitar-players to get deeper into several styles of playing. This was also the time when I concentrated on classic guitar and had lessons for four years from an university teacher.

Nevertheless I returned to playing the e-guitar. If I wanted to play these cassic songs again right now, I'd have to practise quite a lot...

After I managed to earn some money, I decided to arrange a small but nice studio. Spending most of the time on composing and jingling around, you need a possibility to realize your ideas. This is how tons of songs arose, some of which made it on "ONE FOR THE ROAD".

Sometimes I asked myself what I'm doing; sitting in the studio for hours, days and months, recording, mixing, mastering... reject it and do it all over again, and so an. Producing a CD on one's own is a peck of work. Many thanks once more to all those who helped me realizing this (you are already mentioned on CD!)

Another guitarists instrumental CD. "Someone wants to proof how fast he is able to play the scale up and down..." Be relieved in respect thereof, this CD is not a kind of "shred-metal", there really are enought of them. My intention is to write songs that are not only interesting for guitarplayers or those who are trying to become one.

Well, how to continue... Maybe there will be another intrumental CD coming up, I already have some ideas in mind.
Maybe I'll try to vocalize... however, it will go on.

The homepage will be expanded as time passes, so I think it's worth to sneak a peek every now and then!

So long,
Robert
